Kansas native Tremon Kizer is the Associate Director of Bands and Director of Athletic Bands at the University of Central Florida, where he conducts and oversees all aspects of the athletic band program, conducts the Symphonic Band, and teaches courses in music education and conducting. He is also the principal conductor of the Youth Band of Orlando sponsored by ConnSelmer and American Youth Ensembles. Previously, he served on the music faculty at the University of Dayton, where he oversaw the athletic band program, conducted the University Concert Band, taught courses in music education and conducting, and instructed the UD New Horizons Band. Tremon is an active guest conductor, adjudicator and leadership consultant throughout the United States. As a guest conductor, he has conducted numerous district and regional honor bands. He has been on staff for numerous music camps, drum major clinics and collegiate and high school concert and marching band camps. He earned degrees in music from Kansas State University, the University of Central Missouri, and the University of South Carolina.
